After a few summers of cutting grass my dad talked me into purchasing a 5 year CD from the bank, at age 12. He assured me that after those 5 years, the bank would give me more money back than I had given them. I didn’t understand why I should trust them with my hard earned money, or why they needed to keep it for what seemed like a lifetime to me, but I took his advice. Looking back, this was my first investing experience and where I learned the value of saving. My interest continued into high school, as I was investing in a stock account, and that grew into pursuing a finance degree from the University of Dayton.
At a young age I began playing the game of golf as well. It started as something I would do for fun with my dad and grandpas but turned into a passion around the time I began playing for Saint Xavier High School. I took the opportunity to continue playing at the collegiate level where I was a two-year team captain for UD. Golf in general, as well as playing a collegiate sport, has taught me numerous skills and life lessons that I use daily in my job.
I joined the team at RDFA in June of 2019 and have enjoyed learning and working with these amazing people. I completed the Xavier University Executive Certificate Program in Financial Planning in May 2020 and passed the CFP certification exam in September 2020. I am looking forward to continuing to grow in my career at RDFA and helping our clients achieve their financial goals.
